Meet Tiger





Todd came home from work this morning to find a stray kitten on our front walkway. I've named the kitten Tiger. We fed it breakfast and left water outside for it. When I came home around 1pm, Tiger was sleeping under our front steps. He came out front under the steps and meowed at me... he was a nice meow (although he does have 2 scary fangs!). Tiger then wandered off down the street with a slight limp :-( I tried to lure him back with food but it didn't work. It's raining outside now so I hope he finds a dry place to spend the night. Maybe Tiger will come back and sleep under our steps again. I left a bowl of food for him under there. I spoke with a woman at the Northeast Animal Shelter and learned that they aren't accepting new animals till at LEAST 5 weeks because they have so many already!! I find that crazy! Pets bring so much joy and happiness to a household. Everyone should have at least one cat or one dog!!

I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow. I've learned you can tell alot about a person by the way they handle three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas lights. I've learned regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life. I've learned that making a 'living' is not the same as 'making a life'. I've learned that life sometimes gives you a second chance. I've learned you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands; you need to be able to throw somethings back. I've learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision. I've learned that even though I have pains, I don't need to be one. I've learned every day you should reach out & touch someone, people love a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned I still have a lot to learn. Here goes nothing...

I was going through my MySpace account and thinking about deleting it, when I came across my Blog on there. I haven't posted something is over a year and decided it's time to get back into it!! The past 2 years have been a roller coaster. In a nutshell:

Todd & I moved from Rowely to Peabody. I started graduate school in Sept 2007. Todd began working as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Brigham & Women's Hospital (MGH's rival hospital!!!). I left working on White 6- Trauma Surgery and started a new challenging position in the Medical Intensive Care Unit. We discovered a new delicious restruant on Main St in Peabody called, Sugarcane (yes, it's my favorite: Chinsese!). Todd & I travelled to Miami, got on a giant boat, and cruised to the Bahamas in January 2008. We began searching for a house of our own shortly afterwards. Todd & I expanded our family with 2 kittens in July 2008. My family celebrated my grandparents 50th wedding aniversary (Amazing!!) in August 2008. We illegially hid the kittens in our Peabody apartment until December 2008, when we moved to 8 Pope Street! We finally have a place we can call HOME! The kittens had free rane of the house for about 3 days, before the prettiest girl ever came into our lives! Todd suprised me with a goldendoodle puppy for Christmas!! Hands down the best Christmas gift EVER! She quickly took over the house! Decorating the house could be a full-time job. In February 2009, Todd asked me to marry him... despite being completely shocked and at a loss of words, I said of course!! We've begun planning a Las Vegas wedding. October 10, 2010 (mark your calendars!!).

I've really enjoyed living in Salem so far! We live less than a 10 minute walk to downtown, where there is always something going on or a shop to go in. Delilah and I walk downtown a few times a week. Downtown is so fun to walk through because of all the history. We also live a 10 minute walk to the dog park. Delilah and I go there just about everyday!! On my days off we go mid-morning and usually see the same group of dogs & owners, which is SO much fun because I've gotten to know them all. With summer coming to an end and fall approaching us, I've become really excited for Halloween & Christmas. I plan on enjoying Halloween Salem style this year! And I'm excited to put christmas lights outside this year.
